Configuring SSL VPN (FortiClient)
A VPN Connection is required for several services at Queen's University such as connection to the Shared Drive and to run certain enterprise licensed software (eg. SPSS).
Forticlient is a VPN client which will allow you to connect to the Queen's network for these various resources.
- Download Forticlient from https://my.queensu.ca (Software Centre)
- Available downloads for Windows (32 & 64 bit) as well as MacOS
Please use the following information to configure Forticlient once you have installed it on your computer:
The following screenshots are from Windows (But MacOS will be similar):
1. Run the installation file
2. Accept licensing terms
3. Click 'Configure VPN'
4. Fill in the following connection information:
5. Click 'Save'
To test the VPN configuration enter your NetID and NetID password on the login screen.
NOTE: To fully connect you will need to use MFA to approve the sign in. You should receive MFA approval as you would normally (either via Authenticator app or via text, etc.)
