In-Room Laptop

There is a laptopand a power cord stored in the podium at the front of the room. There is a powerbar at the front of the room to plug into if needed.
- Open the laptop and press any key to wake it up. If the laptop is off, press the power button in the top right corner.
- Sign in as Oshawa Guest. There is no password required.
Connect to Queen’s Wi-Fi
- If using the laptop provided in the room, you should already be signed into the wi-fi.
- Otherwise, from a laptop, click on the wi-fi icon on the taskbar to sign in and access the internet.

Connect A Laptop to the AV System (Microphone, Speaker, and Camera)

- Turn on the TV using the Roku remote stored on the front table.The TV will power on to the in-room computer and should not need to be adjusted.
- Connect the laptop to the TV by plugging in the purple dongle USB (the port is on the right side of the in-room laptop).The required cables are stored on the front desk. After you plug in the laptop, the TV should automatically pick up the laptop image.
Access a Zoom Meeting
- Launch Zoom from the laptop by double clicking the blue Zoom Workplace shortcut on the desktop or from the task bar.

If Zoom isn’t already logged in, make sure to log in using your Queen’s credentials (i.e., netID).
- From the Zoom, screen, click “Join.”
- Enter the meeting id and your name, then click “Join”.
- If a passcode is required, it should have been provided to you by a Curriculum Coordinator. Enter it and click to continue.
