NOTE - THIS FUNCTIONALITY IS NOT YET ACTIVE IN ELENTRA. WE ANTICIPATE IT WILL BE AVAILABLE BY THE END OF DECEMBER, 2024.
The My Preceptor Evaluations Report allows faculty and residents at Queen's to self-report on their clinical preceptor evaluations.
Prerequisites for Using the My Preceptor Evaluations Report
- You must have a faculty or resident account in Elentra. External assessors can't access this report.
- Your program/course must be using a standard faculty evaluation form for you to run this report. This is a form built off a template shared between the MD and PG organizations. Most programs/courses had this form implemented by July 2024.
- There must be a minimum of 3 evaluations completed on you in a given timeframe for results to return.
Steps to Generate a Preceptor Evaluation Self-Report
- Log into Elentra at https://elentra.healthsci.queensu.ca/
- Click on the Assessment & Evaluation badge in the top right corner.
- From the Assessment & Evaluation page, click My Reports.
- A Completed Forms on Me page will open. You will see a line for My Preceptor Evaluations.
- Recommended: Apply a date range for the report (e.g., the current academic year). If you don't do this the report will include any standard faculty evaluation form ever completed and the variety of form items used over the years can make the results confusing.
- Tip: If no results display, broaden your date range. To protect learner privacy, the report will not generate results when there are fewer than 3 tasks completed.
- Click the Options button and select Generate Report.
- The screen will load an aggregate report showing your results. You can optionally download a PDF copy of the report.
Notes on the Standard Preceptor Evaluation Self-Report
- The report combines results from the MD and PG organizations when data is available. As such, a report you generate on yourself may differ from a report a program assistant runs on you as they can only retrieve results from the program they are associated with.
- Evaluations from MD learners are excluded until the learners have completed their CaRMS match.
- If you have worked at Queen's for many years, you will see results for various versions of the standard faculty evaluation form. This may result in confusing numbers, for example 10 responses on some items and only 5 responses on other items. This is to be expected. Try to use a date range to view the most recent and relevant completed evaluations.
- This report is separate from course or event teaching evaluations. Results from those evaluations will continue to be shared with you through other channels (e.g., additional reports released in Elentra or summary data provided directly by a PA).
