Television
- The TV in this room is always left on. By default, it will display the content from the in-room computer.
In-Room Computer
- Wake up the computer by touching the mouse or pushing any key on the keyboard.
- Log in using your NetID and password.
- Please do not shut down this computer when you end your session. Instead, log out by clicking Start (the blue windowpanes on the bottom task bar), clicking on your name, and clicking Sign out.
Video Conferencing
- A Logitech MeetUp camera, microphone and speaker are connected to the in-room computer for Teams and Zoom calls.
- From the in-room computer, join the online call (e.g. Teams or Zoom).
- If you need to adjust volume, please do so through the Zoom/Teams settings.
- If you need to share documents stored on your laptop, you can mute your laptop and join the meeting from it in addition to joining from the in-room computer.
Join a Zoom Call from the In-Room Computer
- Access Zoom from the icon on the dashboard or from the Start menu (Start > Search Zoom > double click).
- You may be prompted to log in with your Queen’s NetID and password.
- Enter the meeting id and password shared with you by the event host (e.g. in a previous email or calendar invite).
- If you wish to record your session, remember to:
- Share your screen/presentation
- Select the large screen and use computer audio
- Optionally allow video (to show participants in the room) or leave off (to just record the screen/slides)
- Hit record and record to the cloud so that you or the meeting administrator can access the recording later
Join a Teams Call from the In-Room Computer
- Access Teams from the icon on the dashboard or from the Start menu (Start > Search Teams > double click).
- You may be prompted to log in with your Queen’s NetID and password.
- Click on the meeting that displays in your schedule or enter the meeting id and password.
Connect Your Own Laptop
- To use your own laptop, plug in the HDMI cable from the HDMI switcher to your laptop and push the button on top of the switcher.
- When you unplug the HDMI cable from your laptop, the picture on the TV will go back to the in-room computer.
Trouble Shooting
- I connected my laptop with the HDMI cable but it’s not showing on the TV.
- Push the button on the top of the HDMI switcher.
