Beginning in December 2024, Queen's PG implemented automatic expiry dates on assessments using the EPA Workflow. This does not currently apply to the MD organization.
Once a resident, faculty member, or PA triggers an assessment using the EPA workflow, it will expire 120 days later. Residents and faculty can view these expiry dates on their tasks.
If you receive a request to extend the expiry date on an individual assessment and you deem the request to be reasonable, you can fulfill the request using these steps.
Prerequisites
You must be acting under your staff (not faculty) account to reset the expiry date on an on-demand EPA assessment.
Reset Expiry Date for On-Demand Task
- Login to Elentra (elentra.healthsci.queensu.ca).
- Navigate to the specific task. You can access a task from the A&E dashboard, or a resident’s “Tasks Awaiting Assessor” list.
- Click on a task to open it.
- Click 'Reset Expiry' in the top right of the form.
- A new expiry date will be set 120 days from the date you are doing the reset. You can’t adjust this date.
- Confirm by clicking 'Reset Expiry'.
- You will return to the view of the task.
Note: To extend expiry dates on tasks that are generated from distributions, you must edit the distribution itself (look for expiry date on Step 2 of the distribution set up wizard).
