Installing Lenovo Updates

Here are step-by-step instructions on how to install Lenovo updates:

1. First, search on your computer for the word "Lenovo" and check if any of the following apps are already downloaded: Lenovo Commercial Vantage, Lenovo Vantage, or System Update.
2. If none of the Lenovo apps mentioned above are installed, proceed directly to step 5. Otherwise, follow the specific steps below according to the Lenovo app you have installed. 

• Lenovo Commercial Vantage: open the application and click "System Update" (you may need to make the window full-screen and scroll down to see it). Then click on "Check for System Updates." Wait for a few minutes while the app runs and checks for updates.

• Lenovo Vantage: open the application and click  "System Update" (you may need to make the window full-screen and scroll down to see it). Then click on "Check for System Updates." Wait for a few minutes while the app runs and checks for updates.
• System Update installed,: open the application and click "Next." Sometimes, an error message may appear asking you to update the app. If this happens, update the app and wait for the update to finish before proceeding. Click on the "Get new updates" tab, and wait a few minutes while the app runs and checks for updates.
• If updates are available on any of these applications, it's recommended that you run all the updates available. Some updates may require you to restart your computer, and the app will let you know if this is necessary. It's best to save and close any work before running the update.
• If there are no updates available or after the updates have been completed, inform your QHS IT technician if further steps are necessary.
• If you don't have any of the above Lenovo apps installed, search on your computer for the "Microsoft Store" and open it. In the search field, type "Lenovo," and the options to download Lenovo Commercial Vantage or Lenovo Vantage should appear. Select one of these two apps and click the "Get" button to download it. Follow the instructions above on how to check for updates within the app.
