QHS IT facilitates creating the new curriculum period and block schedule and aims to complete this by the time PGME Registration is launching. QHS IT typically informs programs of the availability of the new curriculum period and block schedule through the PA Chat on Teams.
QHS IT will:
- Add the new curriculum period (i.e., July 1, 2023, to June 30, 2024)
- Add the block schedules to the curriculum period (4 weeks, 2 weeks, and 1 week)
Most trainees will automatically be added to their respective course list and program enrolment through the Postgraduate Registration and Information System (PRIMS). If there is a delay in a trainee appearing in a program enrolment, it may be because they have not yet completed their registration. If the delay is significant or you know a trainee has completed their registration and they still aren't displaying on a program enrolment, please send an email with the trainee's name and program to qhsit@queensu.ca.
Some programs/course lists that are not listed in PRIMS must send a list of all enrolees for the year to qhsit@queensu.ca so that they can be added. This includes:
- CCFP EMs Research Curriculum
- Emergency Medicine PGY1
- POCUS
- QUEST
- Sleep Disorders
- Surgical Foundations
If you are the PA for one of the above programs, please send qhsit@queensu.ca a list of all residents for the upcoming year including their first and last names and email address if available.
