Microsoft Outlook:
Which version of Outlook am I using (Online Outlook, New Outlook or Classic Outlook)?:
- If you are accessing your Outlook through a web browser (Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Firefox, Safari etc.) you are using the Online version of Outlook.
- If you are using the desktop application of Outlook that is downloaded on your device, you can tell which version (New Outlook or Classic Outlook) you are currently using by opening the app and looking at the top left-hand corner:

- If your application doesn't look like any of the above options, you may have an older version of Outlook, and should contact qhsit@queensu.ca to discuss upgrading this.

Upgrading from the Classic Outlook to New Outlook desktop application:

Classic Outlook is no longer supported/upgraded by Microsoft, which means that for some users, it can run less productively and glitch occasionally. For this reason we are encouraging all users to make the transition to New Outlook. You can do this by:

- Open the Classic Outlook application on your device.
- At the top of your screen you should see an option that says Try the new Outlook.

- Switch this on and it will prompt you to open/load the new outlook.

If you are a casual employee or do not have a fully licensed MS Office account, this transition will also allow you to open Outlook in the desktop version, as Classic Outlook does not support this.

Microsoft Teams:

Which version of Teams am I using (Online Teams, New Teams or Classic Teams)?:
- If you are accessing your Teams through a web browser (Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Firefox, Safari etc.) you are using the Online version of Teams.
- If you are using the desktop application of Teams that is downloaded on your device, you can tell which version (New Teams or Classic Teams) you are currently using by opening the app and looking at the top left-hand corner:

- If your application doesn't look like any of the above options, you may have an older or personal version of Team, and should contact qhsit@queensu.ca to discuss upgrading this.
