Periodically program curriculum will be updated and as a result, changes must be made in Elentra. Updating a program to a new curriculum version includes:
- identifying the differences between the old and new curriculum
- deciding whether to retire all EPAs and milestones or just those that are changing
- creating spreadsheets to import the new curriculum (including any changing EPAs, key competencies, enabling competencies, and milestones)
- importing the new curriculum into Elentra
- creating new assessment forms for any changed EPAs
- creating an assessment plan for the new curriculum version
- updating resident information so that they have the correct curriculum version for each stage
Programs should allow ample time from when they version the curriculum to when they move learners into a new version of the curriculum so that they can build assessment forms and plans.
